Date night in Woodstock: dinner, shows, movies and late openings

The easy Woodstock date night is downtown: park free in the City Center East deck, walk to dinner on Main or Chambers Street, then see a show at Woodstock Arts or a band at MadLife, all within a few blocks. For a movie or a game night, head out to Towne Lake Parkway and Highway 92.

Dinner

Century House, 125 E. Main St., posts no Monday hours. It takes reservations only for parties of eight or more, and when the weather allows it often has live musicians on its patio and in its garden, according to its FAQ.

Prime 120, 120 Chambers St., calls itself a steakhouse, with a bar, a dining room and a patio around a 20-foot fireplace. Its posted hours do not include Mondays.

MadLife Grill is the Southern scratch kitchen inside MadLife Stage and Studios, with meats smoked in-house and breads and desserts made on site, so dinner and a show can be one stop.

A show

• Woodstock Arts, 8534 Main St.: musicals and plays on its Main Street stage, with the box office opening 30 minutes before each show, and WIT!, its improv troupe. Its 2026-27 calendar includes A Christmas Carol the Musical from Dec. 4 to 24. See the events calendar.
• The Lantern Series on the Woodstock Arts Event Green, 111 Elm St.: touring musicians outdoors, with lawn seats or a reserved table (series page).

A movie

Regal Cherokee is a movie theater in Woodstock. Showtimes and tickets are on Regal’s website.

• A walk by the river at Olde Rope Mill Park, 690 Olde Rope Mill Road, on the flat Trestle Rock Trail past the old rope mill ruins.
• The gazebo and fountain at The Park at City Center, 101 Arnold Mill Road.
• A free concert at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater on the second Saturday of each month from May to September.
