Sequoyah High School is a Cherokee County School District high school for ninth through 12th grade. Its mailing address says Canton, but the campus is in unincorporated Cherokee County, outside any city’s limits, according to the Census Bureau’s geocoder. It is on this site because its attendance zone takes in homes with Woodstock addresses east of the city, in the Mountain Road Elementary zone. Our mapping of buildings inside the city limits found none in the Sequoyah zone.

Sequoyah opened in 1990 in the Hickory Flat community of Cherokee County, its about page says. Its colors are gold and black, and the state named it an AP STEM, AP STEM Achievement and AP Humanities school, according to the same page.
