Woodstock issued business licenses to 31 businesses in September 2026, including Gyro Aegean Grill, Sourdough & Co and Group 1 Honda. The full list, monthly.

Last checked Oct. 6, 2026. Rebuilt every month. The list comes from the City of Woodstock’s New Business Listings, the business license reports the city posts each month; the September 2026 report was posted Oct. 2. Business License office: 770-592-6054.

The City of Woodstock issued business licenses to 31 businesses in September 2026, from a car dealership with 107 employees to one-person home offices, according to the city’s September license report. A license is required before a business opens inside city limits, so the list is the best public record of who is coming to town. A license can also mean a new owner, a move within the city or a second location, and the report does not give opening dates.

Starting a business in Woodstock

Every business inside city limits, including one run from home, needs an occupational tax license from the city’s Business License office. The city says review takes about 30 days. You will need:

  • A completed application with two notarized affidavits (SAVE and E-Verify); the office notarizes them free in person
  • A secure ID, your state and federal tax numbers, and your Secretary of State filing
  • A lease or proof of ownership, and the space’s square footage
  • For food businesses, a Cherokee County health inspection report

New businesses with fewer than 10 employees, a commercial lease and a Secretary of State filing from the past 365 days may qualify for the city’s New Small Business Occupation Tax Waiver, which waives the tax, admin and safety inspection fees for the first calendar year. Home occupations, regulated industries and purchases of existing businesses do not qualify.

What this means for you

  • Newly licensed places to eat: Gyro Aegean Grill on Main Street and Sourdough & Co on Towne Lake Parkway.
  • Opening a business? Allow about 30 days for the city license and check zoning first.
