Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027. The biggest egg hunts near Woodstock are run by Cherokee Recreation and Parks, the county parks department, and one 2027 date is already set: an underwater egg hunt at the county aquatic center on Saturday, March 20. The city’s own Easter event is for older adults, at the senior center.

Eggs-traordinary Extravaganza. The county aquatic center hides eggs on the lawn for toddlers 3 and under and in the pool for children 4 to 12, who register for an in-water time slot; slots fill quickly, the county says. There is also a sensory-friendly in-water hunt, plus a bounce house, face painting, crafts, music and photos with the Easter Bunny. There is a fee per child. The county posted the 2027 date and time on the same page as its 2026 event.

Flashlight Egg Hunt. In 2026 the county held a nighttime hunt on the turf field at Cherokee Veterans Park. The event opened at 6 p.m. with the Easter Bunny, music, vendors, food trucks and a kid zone, and four age-group hunts began at 8 p.m., with a therapeutic recreation hunt at the same time. Pre-registration cost less than paying on the day, which was cash only. Bring a flashlight.

Senior Adult Easter Egg Hunt. The City of Woodstock’s William G. Long Senior Center, 223 Arnold Mill Road, held its hunt at the downtown amphitheater on Friday, April 3, 2026, with registration through the center, according to its April 2026 calendar. Activity memberships are required to take part in center programs; see the senior center page.

We found no City of Woodstock egg hunt for children, and no church egg hunt in Woodstock with 2027 details, as of Oct. 6. Churches usually post theirs in March; send us yours and we will add it.

Easter baskets for children in need

Each spring Cherokee Recreation and Parks collects Easter baskets for Cherokee County children in need through its Some Bunny Special drive. In 2026 donations were taken at the aquatic center, The Buzz in Canton and The WREC, 7545 Main St., Building 200, in Woodstock. Watch its events calendar for 2027 dates.

No Woodstock restaurant had posted an Easter 2027 brunch as of Oct. 6, 2026. These downtown restaurants serve brunch on Sundays, according to their own websites:
